Liberum is a relatively new (7 years old) City-based investment bank with 160 employees.

•             High expectations from well-remunerated staff = everything has to run smoothly

•             Commitment to continual improvement, requiring flexibility from employee benefit provider.

Liberum sets great store by its employee benefits package, and in a competitive market, needs to continuously offer an excellent suite of benefits to attract and retain staff.

“Gemelli are very, very efficient and proactive – they’re in regular contact, but don’t fuss over us. I really can’t think of any way in which they could improve their service.”   - Joanne Kelly, HR Liberum

However, Liberum is concerned that many employees fail to value the benefits they receive, or take up their full entitlement. The nature of investment-banking, is that it is difficult to engage with employees – they do not have time to attend sessions on benefits, so the new recruit induction process is usually the time at which they are most engaged.

Gemelli understands this dynamic, and consequently take great pains to ensure that this process goes as smoothly as possible.

“People have typically made their minds up before they speak to Gemelli, but they still do a great job at seeing the sign-up through.”

Liberum are constantly seeking to evolve their benefits package, with new and innovative ideas such as birthday bonuses, or early morning electric taxis. This places additional demands upon the benefit provider, but Gemelli are always ready to go the extra mile in order to accommodate these initiatives.
